HR Internship – AIGHD & PharmAccess

Fulltime (voor gemiddeld 32-40 hours per week), in Amsterdam                

Start date: 15 October or 1 November 2022

Duration: 4-6 months


Are you a go-getter who wants to gain HR experience on both a policy and operational level at an interesting institute in the field of Global Health and Research? Then you’ve come to the right place! You will work together with the HR advisor of AIGHD and the HR Manager of PharmAccess (a sister organization of AIGHD). The internship will be located in Amsterdam Zuid Oost and will be part-time remote.

You will contribute to the writing of the new Code of Conduct, wherein research will be a significant part. You will support the implementation of the new Performance Management Cycle and brainstorm about Diversity & Inclusion policies. These projects will be supervised by the HR Advisor at AIGHD. In addition, you will support the HR Manager of PharmAccess in the daily work, which will mainly consist of the standard HR processes, HR administration, and working with their recruitment system.

Who are you

You are still in school, and you are looking for an instructive HR internship. You will join us if you:

  • you are studying Human Resource Management (Bachelor)
  • are a real go-getter
  • like to do research and want to find out everything down to the last detail
  • are enthusiastic, communicative, and deals well under stress
  • are curious, eager to learn, and proactive
  • you are comfortable speaking and writing in both English Dutch



You will begin with writing the Code of Conduct with a small project team from AIGHD. You will assess the organizational culture and needs for this. You will research what there is in terms of documentation within the organization and build upon that. You are present at weekly meetings about this project. The goal is to present a document to the organization in December.

You will support implementing the new Performance Management Cycle. For example, planning of courses and develop new forms and documents.

You will get the opportunity to brainstorm about Diversity and Inclusion. How can we integrate this in the recruitment proces and write compatible vacancies?

In addition, you will apply HR processes to deal with HR administrative work at PharmAccess. Think of keeping track of a recruitment system, inviting, or rejecting applicants, making changes to the personnel system, etc.

You work daily with the HR advisor of AIGHD or the HR Manager of PharmAccess. The distribution of this will be 50/50. We offer a challenging internship where you will be personally supervised, and your development is important.
