Felix Chilunga is a medical doctor from Malawi with special interest in cardiometabolic diseases. He is currently a PhD fellow within the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development (AIGHD), working on the RODAM project. The goal of his research is to unravel the epigenetic mechanisms that underlie cardiometabolic diseases among African populations. Felix currently holds one of the prestigious functions as the 2019 World Health Organization youth representative for non-communicable diseases. He has high regard for humanitarian work and has previously volunteered with Medicins Sans Frontiers – Brussels operations center. He is the recipient of prestigious awards/grants from the Malawi AIDS Commission, European Union, European Association for the Study of Diabetes, African Partnership for Chronic Disease Research, and International Association of Epidemiology. Felix has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals including The Lancet and International Journal of Epidemiology.
