Albena Sotirova is a PhD candidate in Development Economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research focuses on child marriage, adolescent wellbeing, and the interaction between social norms, conflict, and development outcomes, using quantitative and mixed-methods approaches. She holds a BSc in Management and Economics from the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg and an MA in International Economics and Business from the University of Passau.
