Alexandra Bleile

Alexandra C. E. Bleile is a global mental health professional and implementation science researcher. She holds an MA in psychology from the University of Glasgow and an MSc in global mental health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and King’s College London. Alexandra is a researcher in the Research & Development (R&D) Department at War Child Alliance and a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam under the supervision of Prof. Mark Jordans.

Her focus is on the evaluation of a movement-based mental health promotion intervention (TeamUp) for children and adolescents aged 6-17 years, affected by conflict, displacement and adversity. The intervention has been implemented in schools and child-friendly spaces worldwide to promote children’s well-being, social connectedness, sense of safety, self-regulation, and stress reduction. Alexandra has been leading and contributing to mixed-method research studies in the Netherlands, Uganda, Jordan, Burundi and Lebanon.
