Rinske Ellermeijer holds a Master’s Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. After her studies she worked for various humanitarian organisations, in the field of Child Protection, in Uganda, Rwanda, Palestinian territories, Sri Lanka and Kenya. Currently, she is Child Protection Researcher at the Research and Development department of War Child Holland and pursuing her PhD in Anthropology at the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research (AISSR) at the University of Amsterdam. The focus of her project is the development and evaluation of a community-led intervention aiming to improve the protection of children from abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence in humanitarian settings.
