Comparing the impact and cost effectiveness of two social protection interventions in Kenya: fee waiver versus social health insurance scheme
Objective
This project should lead to informed policy advice on the most cost-effective strategies to target social protection programs, deliver quality care, increase utilization and reduce out-of-pocket expenditures, which ultimately should lead to inclusive growth.
Description
AIID/AIGHD lead a research project on social protection measures, also known as Compare 2 Care. It evaluates the cost-effectiveness of two interventions in Kenya: the state programme on free maternal and primary care; and the TCHP health insurance programme implemented by PharmAccess.
