PASER involved in modelling study

PASER collaborates in the development of a support tool for physicians in resource-limited countries to predict ART response without the need for HIV resistance testing

The PASER network has collaborated in a promising HIV drug resistance computational modelling study. This study aims to develop a support tool for physicians in resource-limited countries to make predictions on the expected effectiveness of ART regimens and guide the selection of drugs. The Response Database Initiative (RDI) web-based tool can predict the best drug regimen for an HIV-infected person based on clinical criteria only, without the need for expensive HIV drug resistance testing. PASER has especially contributed to the data from sub-Saharan African countries, creating a more reliable prediction for this region.
