Launch of the RISE Programme in Indonesia: Evaluating How Teacher Reforms in Decentralized Indonesia Can Promote Learning Gains

On Tuesday, September 26, 2017, a kick-off event launched the RISE Programme in Indonesia—an education research program led by the SMERU Research Institute, in collaboration with AIGHD and Mathematica Policy Research.

The RISE Programme aims to play an active role in Indonesia’s education system reform agenda, which is also a part of its global agenda for improving learning outcomes. The RISE Programme in Indonesia will specifically monitor the implementation of teacher reform in a decentralized Indonesia and review how far teacher reform can improve learning outcomes.
