AIGHD presents at Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ annual Product Development Partnership meeting

The annual Product Development Partnership (PDP) meeting, hosted by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, took place on May 23, 2018 in Leiden.

The meeting brings together key private and public partners to discuss health themes. This year’s meeting focused on “Antimicrobial Resistance” (AMR), one of the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development’s key research priorities.

As a leading global health research organization with expertise in this area, AIGHD was one of the invited speakers for the afternoon session. Constance Schultsz, executive board member, presented on behalf of AIGHD.

Constance’s presentation highlighted AMR-Global, a public private partnership that seeks to combine unique Dutch expertise and efforts to facilitate innovation, and ultimately reduce the detrimental effects of AMR around the world.

Other presenting organizations on AMR included Netherlands Centre for One Health, Access to Medicine Foundation, HALL Allergy, Karveel Pharmaceuticals and the Global Antibiotic Research & Development Partnership (GARDP).
