Bridge in Amsterdam dedicated to Prof. Joep Lange

On 17 July, founder of the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development, the late Prof. Joep Lange, was honored in a ceremony dedicating a bridge in his name. The Joep Langebrug, located on the Beethovenstraat over the Zuider Amstel Canal, was named after the world-renowned AIDS researcher and doctor. Prof. Joep Lange, who, along with his partner Jacqueline van Tongeren, died during the MH17 plane crash in 2014.
