AIGHD & ahti mourn the loss of VU colleague Anna van Luijn

It is with great sadness that the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development shares news about the passing of our colleague Anna van Luijn.

Anna was our counterpart at the Athena Institute and was responsible for coordinating many MPA internships that took (and continue to take) place at AIGHD, ahti and PharmAccess. First as internship coordinator and later as the Master’s Degree program coordinator, she quickly established herself as the to-go-to person. In particular, she supported the ahti elective course Management of Innovative Technologies in Community Healthcare, offered in the first year of the MPA program, which has seen much success. Anna was an inspiring and cheerful colleague who will be dearly missed.

We extend our sincere condolences to her friends, family and colleagues during this time.

An Ode to Anna will take place on March 1 and all who knew Anna are invited to attend.

Location: Auditorium, Main Building, VU Amsterdam

Time: 15.30 – 16.30 hrs

Subsequently there will be drinks in the foyer.

For those who wish to contribute to the programme (i.e. say a few words about Anna), they are very welcome to contact Nikha Krooneman (n.t.krooneman@vu.nl / 020-5986894)
