Charlie Chaluma Luchen

Charlie Chaluma Luchen is an Enteric Disease Researcher from the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia. Currently, he’s a PhD fellow with the Amsterdam Institute of Global Health and Development (AIGHD) working on the ROTA-Biotic project focusing on the Impact of rotavirus vaccines on antibiotic use in Zambian and Ghanian. His main research focuses are in infants and look at: Impacts of vaccines on the gut microbiome, antimicrobial resistance genes in relation to antibiotic use, and enteric disease vaccines. His PhD is with the University of Amsterdam, Department of Global Health and the Amsterdam Institute of Global Health and Development under the supervision of Professor Constance Schultsz, Dr. Vanessa Harris and Dr. Daniel Mende.
