Jantine van Wijlick is a PhD student with  AIGHD since February 2021. She completed her master’s degree in management, Policy Analysis and Entrepreneurship in Health- and Life Sciences with specializations in international public health and health policy in 2020. During her research internship, she studied the acceptability of a psychological intervention delivered by health care volunteers for women who suffered from life-threatening complications during pregnancy in Zanzibar. She is interested in exploring barriers and opportunities of health interventions with an international character using qualitative research methods.

 

Under the supervision of Christopher Pell, Jantine is working on the INDIGO project at AIGHD. She studies the social context of influenza vaccine uptake among health care staff and high-risk groups with a specific focus on the delivery method of the vaccine. The research will consist of contrasting case studies in India and the Netherlands.
