Kevin Komakech is a Biomedical Laboratory scientist with about 10 years of working experience in diverse TB diagnostics. He obtained his Bachelors and Master’s degree at Makerere University and currently pursuing a PhD at Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development (ORCID 0000-0002-4547-212x).

He has passion for operational and translational science research especially in HIV/TB co-infection and drug resistant leading to better TB diagnosis and management strategies that can be translated in policy changes locally and globally

He is currently assessing the diagnostic performance of a range of non-sputum based point of care TB triage test among presumptive TB patients under the CAGE-TB project as his PhD research.
